Medicinal Properties:The root of Madhuyashti tastes sweet and is used in various Ayurveda formulas. Yashtimadhu has been conventionally used in the treatments of respiratory and digestive disorders. In Ayurvedic literatures it is considered as a Rasayana (Rejuvenator) herb. Its use is specifically indicated for the treatment of chronic acidity, peptic ulcer and in chronic respiratory conditions. Researches have observed that Yashtimadhu helps to stimulate ulcer healing process. It is used in Ayurveda as an antistress and anabolic agent thus helps in general debility also. Classical Ayurvedic recipes use this in formulations of skin allergies, premature graying and baldness
